ShadowLight Productions presents Ghosts of the River, a cinematic shadow theater film written by Octavio Solis that explores ghost stories from the U.S.–Mexico borderlands. Inspired by testimonies of people living and crossing along the Rio Grande, the work blends shadow puppetry, live actors, and projected imagery into a dreamlike visual language. Originally staged as a large-scale performance, this film captures the layered artistry of light, shadow, and story, bringing the ephemeral medium to new audiences.

After the screening, stay for an artist talk and Q&A with Larry Reed and the original collaborators, including lead shadow designer I Made Moja, puppeteers and shadow actors.
